Deep thoughts while staring out the window on this rainy Sunday...

WATCH: Life Itself

Jenny and I stumbled across the movie "Life Itself" on Friday night and were completely unprepared for what we were getting ourselves into - in a good way. I won't say much beyond we were both bawling by the end of the film and enjoyed the unique composition and storytelling. We genuinely thought it was one of the better films we'd watched in a while.

After we wiped our tears, we went to Rotten Tomatoes and saw that the movie was universally hated by critics, receiving a 14% approval rating by them. We're now fundamentally questioning our taste in movies, but what do the critics know anyways?

READ: A Part Of You Doesn't Want You To Read This

"Ego Is The Enemy" is one of the more interesting books that I've ever read. It was a formative page turner for me and one I'd like to make a habit of revisiting once a year just to keep my ego on its heels. The book pretty much forces you into the interesting exercise of pulling the curtains back on your ego to confront its impact on the many areas of your life you may not have initially detected the ego's presence in.

LISTEN: I Like You As You Are

The Finding Fred Podcast is an exploration of our favorite childhood (and adulthood) role mode, Mr. Rogers. The 10-episode series details how his lessons are needed now more than ever by our contemporary society. It's very well composed and applies some really unique and thoughtful filters to the story of Mr. Rogers' life, TV show and his lasting impact on us all.

Have a great week!
